Amazon to Create 10,000 UK Jobs in 2020


Amazon Inc. said Thursday that 10,000 permanent new jobs are being created in the U.K. this year, taking its workforce to over 40,000.
The internet retail company said it has already created 3,000 new jobs in its fulfillment centers, sort centers and delivery stations across the U.K. this year, and plans to add 7,000 more permanent roles by the end of 2020. It also plans to create over 20,000 seasonal positions across the U.K. ahead of the festive season.
It said the new jobs include engineers, graduates, HR and IT professionals, health and safety and finance specialists, as well as the teams who will pick, pack and ship customer orders.
